NEW! Vega caprese snack

We developed a new vegetarian caprese sandwich for Albert Heijn to go.

The caprese sandwich with Nutriscore C is made with a healthier puff pastry. We replaced part of the water in the dough with a tomato puree made from leftover product. This colours the dough beautifully red-orange, is packed with flavour and makes it a more sustainable choice.

The filling of the caprese sandwich starts with a layer of mozzarella and sun-dried tomato tapenade topped with a layer of green pesto. The crispy crust is topped with a coarse, seasoned breadcrumbs with basil.
